Motivate to Engage (2021 – 2023) is an Erasmus+ KA2 Small partnership project, led and coordinated by EDUnaut. It involves 2 organizations, both working on motivating the vulnerable youth (EDUnaut (Croatia) and BIOM (Hungary, biomalapitvany.hu).
What we have in common is the same target group we are working with, and the same underlying goal of our activities and projects – reaching out to offer support to at risk children and youth without adequate parental support.
Both organizations use different tools and work in different contexts to achieve this. The intention of this project is to draw from the experience of the other organization and share our own expertise by creating a guidebook with the reflection kit for the youth workers.
Project results :
Being intrinsically motivated, having the right set of key competences for
lifelong learning and having skills to deal with stress will help this youth to make better career and general life choices. At the moment, our youth workers do not have all the necessary tools to achieve this and we want to change it.
The main objective of this project is to produce results that could be used by the participating organizations’ youth workers – by creating a Guidebook and Reflection kit. These results could be used by other European organizations working with this target group in their countries, as well (teachers, youth workers and other professionals working with young people).
GUIDEBOOK – youth workers will have more structured materials available in one place, useful didactic tools they could use in their work without investing too much time and energy in researching, compiling, experimenting with the approach, creating materials on the go. They need a guidebook they can go to whenever they want to create and deliver a workshop with youth – something they can use as a ready-made material, a repository of inspirational step by step advice and a textbook for their practical non-formal work and a reminder what and how to do it.
REFLECTION KIT – (methodology and visual cards) – creating cards that will be a useful tool, and enable youth to enhance self-reflection on experiential learning process and to support self-reflection on one’s potential, mindset and abilities.
